Season of Emily
Impatient, rebellious, eccentric and oh, so talented! Emily Carr is Victoria’s most celebrated artist, a trail-blazer in so many ways for her moving artistic depictions of the Pacific Northwest rainforest, the native villages and totems. The summer of 2012 is a wonderful season full of Emily. Visit the Royal British Columbia Provincial Museum’s special exhibit The Other Emily, pose with Barbara Paterson’s bronze sculpture of Emily in Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Visit the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria for this season’s Emily exhibit On the Edge of Nowhere.
